Early Reins (2003)

Cut half the cast and use 2D animation instead of 3D for the train shots and this would be so much better. Still mediocre, but better. You'd still have to use better lip-flaps and more consistent animation and so on… With all that said, the finale's mostly solid and the voice acting's not bad either; with more focus and more time this could've been something kinda-decent. It's pretty obviously limited by being a videogame tie-in OVA (and maybe an extended pilot for a TV series?) in that it wasn't allowed to be truly decisive or conclusive, but there's some neat if rote character development and a couple twists.
