Breccbairdnes
Note: I don't know what the plural for this is.
The breccbairdne is an Irish, 4-line, rhyming, syllabic stanza form that can also be used stand-alone. The first line has 5 syllables and the remaining lines have 6. The rhyme pattern is A/B/C/B, and all end words must be two syllables.
It has a few special requirements from ancient Celtic poetic practice: all end words must be consonant, lines should feature assonance and alliteration, and the poem should end with the same syllable it began (a common feature of Irish forms).
