Misc. Quatrains

Four-line poems and stanzas are collectively called “quatrains”. There are various sub-types, like the Balliol and the breccbairdne.

   When angels abroad
   Must cover their tracks,
   They call down the snow
   And smoke and relax.

   Rattle, weep, and wheeze;
   Money made astride the victims
   Changes hands with ease.

   The old men sip away the hours
   With anaesthetic tongues;
   They slur about their wealth and power
   And blame death on the young.

   Also tried using “loves to eats” as the second line, but the “eats” didn't flow as well as the end of “eats and eats”.

    To thirsty gods we'll pray.
